Tidy Brain is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information. You can use Tidy Brain without creating an account.

1. Information we collect

Account information (optional): if you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and display name through Firebase Authentication. Tidy Brain works fully without an account.
Chore & household data: the chores you create, rooms, completion history, streaks, repair-token balance, household name, and local profile display names. The app database is stored locally on your device with Apple's SwiftData framework. Rendered app screens can be sent to PostHog as session replay as described below.
Usage, diagnostics & session replay: to understand how the app is used and to fix confusing or broken flows, we use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and PostHog. PostHog session replay can include text and images rendered on screen, including chore names and household profile names. Replays use an app-generated identifier, are not used for advertising, and do not capture network traffic.
Purchases: subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and Apple. We do not receive your payment card details.

We do not collect health data, location, contacts, photos, or any data beyond what is described here.

2. How we use your information

Provide and maintain the Tidy Brain service
Generate your daily task list, streaks, and insights
Let you organize and assign chores to local household profiles on this device
Authenticate your account and manage your subscription (if you have one)
Improve the app and fix crashes

We never use your data for advertising or marketing profiling, and we never sell it.

3. Data retention & deletion

Your chore data lives on your device. Deleting the app removes it. You can also clear all data anytime from Profile → Delete All Data. If you created an account, use Profile → Delete Account to remove the Firebase authentication record and local app data.

4. Children

Tidy Brain is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

5. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
